The first project of 2023 Andy and I are taking on is finishing our pantry. While I’d say it’s about halfway done, not only am I ready for it to be completely functional (hello, storage!), but I can’t wait for it to finally look and feel the way I’ve always wanted.

When I first started dreaming up our pantry, I kept coming back to the idea of opening the door and being flooded with a bold color. When we painted our kitchen cabinets last year, we painted the pantry cabinets at the same time. I fell in love with the idea of using green and stumbled upon SW Pewter Green.

It is a beautiful color, but after we painted the cabinets, I was not in love. I wanted something a tad richer and after a few test runs, SW Shade Grown is the winner.
While the pantry is a separate space from our kitchen, I still wanted it tied together which is why when we installed the white and grey botanical wallpaper in the kitchen, we also hung it on the same outside wall in the pantry for continuity.

I feel like it will be the perfect touch to keep the two spaces connected without overpowering the moody vibes I’m going for. Throw in the warmth of wood tones from our floor and a few stained cabinets with a collection of brass fixtures and I have my dream pantry.
