Sometimes it feels like summer is over before it even begins (no complaints from this girl who hates being hot), but whether you love it or hate it, I hope you set out to make some core memories inspired by my list or your own.

- Ride a dune buggy
- Take an entire week off from work
- Swim in the lake as much as possible
- Visit my favorite orchard for fresh fruit (and perhaps wine 😉)
- Watch my favorite 4th of July fireworks
- Catch lightning bugs
- Host Higgin’s Challenge
- Photograph flowers in full bloom
- Visit a lavender farm
- Shop at a farmer’s market
- Donate to a local food bank or shelter
- Eat Sherman’s cotton candy ice cream
- Make a homemade pie with Michigan farm fresh fruit
- Have a campfire complete with iron pies and cookie smores
- Tackle one outdoor project
- Take a road trip
- Kayak
